HELP THE BT KIDS MINISTRY
The Pre-school and Children's department are always looking for individuals who will love kids on Sunday Mornings for an hour or so in the nursery. If you desire to serve the Father in this way, please contact Dathan Hale, Children's Minister (
dhale@boonetrailbaptist.org) for more information on the programs available and how you can volunteer.
VERTICAL COLLEGE MINISTRY
VERTICAL EDGE -
is our Sunday morning small group Bible study for college age students. We meet in the Student wing and begin at 9:30 am.
>Why would any sane college student get up early on Sunday morning to go to anything? Just ask the students who come to Vertical at Boone Trail. There is no better way to get your week started—get recharged, meet some real friends who will build you up, and have a lot of fun doing it. Sometimes it’s called Bible Fellowship or Sunday school, but whatever you call it, it’s worth the early wake-up call. Come at 9:30 in the Student Wing and then join us at 11:00 a.m for our Worship Service .
What’s it like? We break out into small groups and talk about real truth and real life. You’ll meet friends for life and grow deeper and deeper in your relationship with God. What a great way to kick off your week!
DEFENDING YOUR FAITH
The world is thirsty for truth. Only the Water of Life—Jesus—will ever quench that thirst. And yet College students are constantly bombarded with the dry, empty fallacies of tolerance, post-modern thought, gay marriage, and the erosion of traditional values.
Boone Trail's College Ministry offers many opportunities to learn and grow in your Christian faith and will help equip you in the area of apologetics (defending your faith). Through ministries such as Vertical Focus on Sunday morning, Vertical Edge on Sunday nights, and special events, you will be equipped to not only defend your faith, but share the life-giving truth with a world that so desperately needs it.
“We are living in a time when sensitivities are at the surface, often vented with cutting words. Philosophically, you can believe anything, as long as you do not claim it to be true. Morally, you can practice anything as long as you do not claim that it is a “better” way. Religiously, you can hold to anything, or as long as you do not bring Jesus Christ into it. If a spiritual idea is eastern, it is granted critical immunity; if western, it is thoroughly criticized. Thus, a journalist can walk into a church and mock its carrying on, but he or she dare not to do the same if the ceremony is from the eastern fold.”

“Jesus Among Other Gods”
“Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me.”
John 14:6
