Helpful Links

In our desire to help equip you as a parent with tools that will help you in raising your child in a way that honors Christ, below you'll find links that we pray are helpful to you and your family.

Plugged In Online
Plugged In is a Focus on the Family publication designed to help equip parents, youth leaders, ministers and teens with the essential tools that will enable them to understand, navigate and impact the culture in which they live. Entertainment is a potent influence on our culture for both good and evil. Through their reviews and discussions of entertainment, they hope to spark intellectual thought, family discussion and spiritual growth.

Covenant Eyes
Covenant Eyes monitors Internet use and reports to your accountability partners (at no charge to them). Objectionable sites score high and are presented in an easy-to-read report, either by e-mail or at their member center. Parents can also use this tool to monitor their children's use of the Internet. Men, women, churches and businesses can use it to provide discipline and training in responsible use of the Internet.

Center for Parent/Youth Understanding
The Center for Parent/Youth Understanding is a nonprofit organization committed to building strong families by serving to bridge the cultural-generational gap between parents and teenagers. At a time when an already confusing youth culture is changing quickly, CPYU helps parents, youth workers, educators and others understand teenagers and their culture so that they will be better equipped to help children and teens navigate the challenging world of adolescence.

Focus on the Family
Family.org is the official site of Focus on the Family, the organization founded by Dr. James Dobson, which is dedicated to helping preserve traditional values and the institution of the family. It contains a wealth of resources in such areas as family ministry, college student ministry, community impact, business, government and public policy and various other topics.

Heart Connex Family E-devotionals
These devotionals, offered by LifeWay Christian Resources, provide the opportunity for parents to sign up to receive weekly devotionals via their e-mail. Participants receive two 20-minute devotions each week containing solid Bible teaching, discussion questions that emphasize family involvement, and prayer guidance at the conclusion. These are offered free of charge.
